Debbie Brehm, 61, of Suttons Bay, formerly of Mt. Pleasant, passed away on Wednesday, January 20, 2021, with her family by her side. Debbie was born on September 22, 1959, in Mt. Pleasant, daughter of the late Tom and Lois (Imhoff) McCann and was raised on the family farm. She graduated from Sacred Heart Academy in 1977. There she met the love of her life, Michael Brehm. The two were married on September 8, 1984, and together, raised three wonderful children in Mt. Pleasant. Debbie, known for her creativity, was a phenomenal seamstress, detailed party planner, expert gardener, photographer, and master of sarcasm. From boat rides to hikes, breweries to golf courses and everything in between, she cherished her time with family. The Dollie Momma or Debbie Lou Brehm (DLB), also known as Favorite Aunt Debbie (FAD), but better known as Best Grandma Ever (BGE) is survived by her husband of 36 years, Michael Brehm; children, Ryan (Chelsey) Brehm, Natalie (Corey) Crew, and Hannah Brehm; grandson, Connor Crew; puppy Dollie; siblings Pattie (and the late Greg) Baderschneider, Cathie (Denis) Cluley, Colleen (Kelly) Beltinck, Doreen Fussman, Tom (Angie) McCann, John (Kelli) McCann, and Mark (Christine) McCann; and her special Aunt Jo Jo and Uncle Bill McCann. Beloved by McCanns and Brehms alike, from her whole Fam Damily,.. Cheers to Debbie Brehm. Alright, Alright, Alright…. The funeral for Debbie will be celebrated at the Charles R. Lux Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 23, with Father Loren Kalinowski officiating and will be live streamed on the funeral home's Facebook page. Family will receive friends for a public visitation on Friday, January 22, 2021, from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. with a vigil and time for sharing at 7:00 p.m. Visitation continues on Saturday one hour prior to the service. She will be laid to rest in Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Debbie's honor may be made to The Lovemark Foundation.
