Debra Sue (North) Dubois

Debra DuBois, 69, of Weidman, passed away Thursday, July 13, 2023, at MyMichigan Medical Center in Alma.  She was born April 22, 1954, in Trenton, Michigan, daughter of the late Eulas and Mary (Samons) North.  She attended Taylor Center High School in Taylor, Michigan.  Debra married Joseph DuBois Jr., November 6, 1971, in Taylor.  Debra loved dancing, music and bingo with her friends.  She enjoyed Nascar and dirt track racing.  Debra was a poet and liked to write poems.  But more than anything she loved being with her sons and grandchildren, participating in their sporting events. Debra is survived by her four sons, Joseph (Regina Werksma) DuBois III of Lincoln Park, Eulas DuBois of Lincoln Park, Michael DuBois of Weidman, and Steven (Connie) DuBois of Rodney; nine grandchildren, Austin, Kaylin, Emile, Jacob, Brittany, Abby, Camron, Kameron and Ava; one great grandchild, Lumen and expecting two in the fall of 2023; sister, Desonja Britton; brothers, Tommy (Renee) North, Terry North and Ricky (Cheryl) North; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Joseph.  Debra's funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 20, 2023, at Charles R. Lux Family Funeral Home.  Burial will immediately follow in Memorial Gardens Cemetery.  A luncheon will be held at the Eagles in Mt. Pleasant following the committal.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday one hour prior to service.
