Bernadine Lefebvre, 74, of Shepherd, passed away Wednesday, June 22, 2016, at St. Marys Hospital in Saginaw. A Funeral Mass for Deni will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 28, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Don Henkes as celebrant and Deacon Larry Fussman assisting. The family will receive friends at Charles R. Lux Family Funeral Home on Monday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. with the Vigil beginning at 7 p.m. Visitation continues at the church on Tuesday one hour prior to Mass. A luncheon will follow at Sacred Heart Parish Hall. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Festival Chorus at Central Michigan University or Sacred Heart Choir. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home or church. Deni was born June 14, 1942, in Mt. Pleasant, daughter of the late John Earl and Lora Alice (Granger) Priest. She graduated from Shepherd High School in 1960 and attended Central Michigan University. On Feb. 23, 1963, she married Francis Lefebvre at Kincheloe Air Force Base in Kinross, MI. She was employed as a telecom specialist at CMU, retiring in 2005. She was a member of Sacred Heart Parish where she sang in the church choir. She also sang with the CMU Festival Chorus highlighted by a performance at Carnegie Hall. She enjoyed knitting, sewing, singing, reading, gardening, and spoiling her grandchildren. Deni is survived by four children, William (Nanci) Lefebvre of Canton, Lora (Michael) Ross of Portage, Lynnette (John) Mueller of Southfield, Audra (Greg) Hynes of Ithaca; eight grandchildren, Ian Lefebvre, Gabrielle Lefebvre, Riley Ross, David Mueller, Nathan Mueller, Connor Mueller, Aaron Hynes, and Kaeli Hynes; niece, Stacy (Keith) Slaght of Grand Ledge; step-brother, Peter (Josie) Stitt of Florida; and step-sister, Martha Gabe of Oregon. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank in 2000; and sister, Janiece Swogger in 2004.
