Diane Elizabeth Zuker

Diane Zuker, 83, of Mt. Pleasant and formerly of Beal City, passed away Friday, September 17, 2021, at the Isabella County Medical Care Facility. She was born May 12, 1938, in Mt. Pleasant, daughter of the late Roger F. and Bernadette E. (Coughlin) White. A 1956 graduate of Sacred Heart Academy, Diane married the love of her life, Paul Zuker, on February 23, 1957, and was the proud mother of eight children. Some of Diane's favorite pastimes were being outdoors, gardening, mowing the lawn, reading, cooking, puzzles, playing the slot machines, and traveling with her husband and family. She was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church and former lector. While she worked at Central Michigan Community Hospital for 6 years, Diane's focus was being the best homemaker she could be. She is survived by six children, Kenneth Zuker (Shelly Johnson) of Tampa, FL, Rick (Susan) Zuker of Clearwater, FL, Sharon Vogel, Janet VanAvery, and Debra (William) Balser, all of Mt. Pleasant, and Barbara Boulay (Jeremy Spurr) of Brownstown Township; 23 grandchildren, Laura, Alex, Matthew (Mary Beth), Daniel (Kalia), Cory, Eric, Ryan, Scott, Stephen, Kristina (Josh), Todd (Samantha), Jared (Hannah), Jordan, Amanda, Jodi, Brooklyn, Mia, and Morgan; 10 great grandchildren, Damian, William, Sloan, Kordell, Emma, Seth, Aubrey, Emma, Jackson, and Willow; brother, Dennis (Gerri) White of Mt. Pleasant; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Roger and Bernadette White; husband, Paul; son, Jeffrey; daughter, Patricia Cushman; son in-law, Joseph Boulay; and many brothers in-law and sisters in-law. A Funeral Mass for Diane will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday, September 24, at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church in Beal City with Father Tom Held as celebrant. The family will receive friends one hour prior to Mass. Interment of her ashes will be in St. Joseph Cemetery following Mass and a luncheon will conclude at the Lincoln Reception Center (located next to the Charles R. Lux Family Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant). In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Beal City Knights of Columbus or the Isabella County Medical Care Facility.
