Dolores Vivian Corbin

Dolores Vivian "GG" Roberts (née Mattice), age 95, passed away peacefully on June 2, 2025, in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan.

Born on April 27, 1930, in Ecorse, Michigan, Dolores graduated from Ecorse High School and went on to dedicate many years to public service with the Lincoln Park City Government. Her career in the building and housing departments culminated in her role as Housing Director for the Lincoln Park Community, a position that reflected her dedication to improving the lives of others through diligent service.

Dolores had a spirited personality and a deep love for her home and community. A devoted fan of Detroit sports teams, she rarely missed a game. She was an accomplished baker and spent countless hours knitting, crocheting, quilting, and tending to her flower beds. She also enjoyed playing euchre and pinochle with friends.

Her faith was an important part of her life. She cherished her time at Crystal Congregation Church and found joy in attending luncheons with dear friends.

Dolores was preceded in death by her husbands, Theodore Roberts and Neil Corbin; her granddaughter Amberly Hay; son-in-law Robert Garcia; brother Lee Mattice; and sister Judi Liscombe.

She is lovingly remembered by her children: Theodore (Barb) Roberts, Christine (Tom) Baer, Terry Garcia, Michael (Kay) Roberts, Philip (Gina) Roberts, and Marianne (Durwood) Hinely. She also leaves behind 15 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. Her siblings Barb (Bob) Fraser, Dianne Bartle, Sharon Hinson, Lois (Tom) Picklo, and Dennis (Marcia) Mattice also mourn her passing.

Dolores's legacy lives on through those who knew and loved her. May her memory bring comfort to all whose lives she touched

A Memorial Service for Dolores will be held July 13, 2025 at 1:00 pm at the Crystal Congregational Church, located at 300 S. Main Street, Crystal, MI 48818
