Dolores I. Martinez

Dolores I. Martinez, 83, of Mt. Pleasant passed away Monday, June 17, 2002 at Central Michigan Community Hospital. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 20, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Robert Byrne officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Friends may call at Lux Funeral Home on Wednesday from 1-8 p.m. with a vigil service beginning at 7:30 p.m. Visitation continues at the church on Thursday from 10-11 a.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the family. Envelopes are available at Lux Funeral Home. Dolores was born April 11, 1919, in San Antonio, Texas, the daughter of Jose and Benita (Perez) Ibarra. She married Rodolfo Martinez on April 19, 1945 in San Antonio. Dolores was a loving mother that enjoyed being with her her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She enjoyed gardening and was a member of Sacred Heart Church. She is survived by three sons, Benito (Alicia) Martinez of Mt. Pleasant, John (Sylvia) Martinez of Mt. Pleasant, and Rodolfo (Maria) Martinez of Houston, TX; one daughter, Helen (Jose) Reyes of Mt. Pleasant; 14 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Rodolfo in 1993; a daughter; and three sisters.
