Dolores M. Venable

Dolores M. Venable, 76, of Mt. Pleasant died Wednesday, Jan. 5, 2005 at Central Michigan Community Hospital. Her funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 7, at Lux Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant with the Rev. Mother Linda Drozd of Christ Our Savior Catholic Church officiating. Burial will be in Cherry Grove Cemetery in Clare. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. and on Friday from 9 a.m. until service time. Memorial contributions may be made to COS Community Outreach Services, P.O. Box 373, Mt. Pleasant MI 48804-0373. Dolores was born July 31, 1928, in Detroit, the daughter of Carl and Verda (Null) Zimmerman. She married Robert P. Venable Jan. 12, 1952 in Detroit. She owned and operated Central Michigan Rapid Print for over 20 years. She was an avid reader, enjoyed cross-country skiing, and loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Dolores is survived by her children, Deborah Venable of Marshall and Robert (Tina) Venable Sr. Of Mt. Pleasant; grandchildren, Robert Venable Jr. and Jamie Venable; brother, William (Eileen) Zimmerman of Cincinnati, OH; and sister-in-law, Elsie Zimmerman of Canton. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert in 1993; and brother, Carl Zimmerman.
