Don Martin Dubois

Don Martin Dubois, age 68 of Lake passed away on Tuesday, February 26, 2019 at home with his loving family by his side.

Don was born on October 15, 1950 to Elton and Delphine (Voge) Dubois in Lansing, MI. He was raised in the Shepherd and Gladwin areas. On August 5, 1994 Don married Jeanie Wireman at Clifton Forge, Virginia. Don enjoyed cooking, camping, fishing and just being outdoors but most of all he loved spending time with family especially his grandchildren. Don worked for 40 plus years as a plate maker for a book manufacturer. Most of those years were spent working for Sheridan Books. Don served his country proudly in the United States Army as a SP4. His service time was from Oct 1969 to Oct 1971 and 18 months of that time was spent serving in Vietnam.

A Memorial Service for Don will be held on Thursday, February 28, 2019 at 2:00 P.M. at Maier Family Funeral Home, 5483 W. Weidman Road, Weidman, MI. with Chaplain Daryl Amrozowicz officiating. A visitation time with the family will be held two hours prior to the service from 12:00 to 2:00 P.M.

Memorial donations in Don's memory may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home or on the website (www.stjude.org).

Don leaves his wife Jeanie of 24 years of marriage to cherish his memory; daughter, Bernadine (James) McDaniel; grandchildren, Summer Dubois, James, Curtis and Reece McDaniel; brother, Fred (Caroline) Dubois and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Don was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Justin Dubois.
