Donald H. House

Donald House, 82, of Mt. Pleasant passed away Thursday, January 4, 2018, at his home. His funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, January 10, at Charles R. Lux Family Funeral Home with the Rev. Connie Bongard officiating. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday from 4-8 p.m. and on Wednesday one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. Donald was born June 29, 1936, in Rosebush, MI, son of the late Otto Harold and Debra Bell (Johnson) House. He married Sheila J. Frantz on March 22, 1958, at his fathers home in Shepherd. He was employed as a truck driver for Fortino Beverage (over 22 years) and Chippewa Beverage (13 years) retiring in 1999. He enjoyed camping, boating, and traveling. Known to be a hard worker, Donald was a wonderful father and husband. Donald is survived by his wife, Sheila; four children, Virginia (Rick) Owens, Gloria (Darian) Onstott, Charlene (Cliff) Willis and Chris (Carol) House, all of Mt. Pleasant; 11 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and sister, Betty Rutter of California. He was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Mary Ann.
