Donna M. Bullard

Donna Bullard, 72, of Shepherd, passed away Wednesday, June 16, 2010, at home with her family by her side. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday, June 18, at St. Vincent DePaul Catholic Church with Father Fred Kawka presiding. The family will receive friends at Charles R. Lux Family Funeral Home, 2300 S. Lincoln Rd., Mt. Pleasant, on Thursday from 4-9 p.m. with the Vigil beginning at 7 p.m. Visitation continues at the church on Friday one hour prior to Mass. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Pardee Cancer Center. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. Donna was born April 10, 1938, in Mt. Pleasant, the daughter of Don and Marie (Conroy) Huber. She married Larry Bullard on Oct. 24, 1953, at Sacred Heart Church. She retired from Mt. Pleasant Public Schools where she was a bus driver. She enjoyed reading and was a very devout catholic, attending St. Vincent DePaul Parish. She will be greatly missed by her loving family. Donna is survived by her husband, Larry; seven children, Pam (Al) VanAlstine and Terry (fiance, Sue) Bullard, both of Shepherd, Rick (Anney) Bullard of Weidman, Mary Ann (Craig) McPherson of Shepherd, David (Kelly) Bullard of Albuquerque, NM, and Nancy (Pat) Glowacki and Amy (David) Guild, both of Shepherd; son-in-law, Ed Hoyt; grandchildren, Scott, Troy, Kevin, Shane, Tori, Veronica, Josh, Jake, Chelsie, Kody, Jessica, Deana, Ryan, Stephanie, Danielle, Justin, Haley, Kayla, Paige, Logan, Kaleb, Kaitlyn, Grace, and baby Guild due in December; nine great-grandchildren; siblings, Rita (Carl) Eisenberger and Jerry (Dorothy) Huber, both of Shepherd, Esther (John) Haupt of Beal City, Jim (Nonie) Huber of Mt. Pleasant, Ruth (Ken) Abbott of St. Louis, Robert (Gail) Huber of Shepherd, and Patty (John) McHugh of Alto; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Don Bullard; daughter, Karen Hoyt; brother, Ken and Ed Huber; and niece, Annette Huber.
