Donna Hinks, 84, of Lake Isabella passed away unexpectedly on Friday, November 3, 2023, at McLaren of Central Michigan, in Mt. Pleasant.  Donna was born on August 15, 1939, in Detroit, daughter of the late Raymond and Beatrice (Laframboise) Meloche.  She graduated from St Cecilia High School in Detroit, with the class of 1957.  Shortly after graduation she went to work for the National Bank of Detroit as an Investment Officer.  On October 7, 1961, she married the love of her life, David Hinks in Detroit.   She continued her work at the bank for over 40 years.  Retiring in 1997 as the Vice President of the Bank Investment Operations.  After retirement Donna and David moved to Lake Isabella where they enjoyed spending time on the Lake, gardening and reading.  She looked forward to their vacations in Florida.  Donna also volunteered for Woodland Hospice for 10 years, she helped so many people.   Donna is survived by her husband, David of Lake Isabella; and sister, Katherine Ricardo of Atlanta, GA.  She is preceded in death by both parents; siblings, Patricia Hardy, Margaret Rudel, Marie Kelly, Elizabeth Duncan, and Raymond Meloche; and sister-in-law, Barbara Hinks. Per Donna's wishes, cremation has taken place at Memorial Fields Crematory.  A private family memorial service will take place, and her ashes will be interred in the St Joseph the Worker Cemetery in Beal City.  Those wishing to express a memorial contribution, please consider Karma Kat Café or Community Cancer Services.  Envelopes are available at the funeral home.  To sign the online guest book or leave a condolence for the family please visit www.CharlesRLux.com.
