Donna M. Opyrchal

Donna Opyrchal, 57, of Lake passed away Sunday, March 2, 2008 at her daughters home in Dearborn Heights. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 8, at St. Henry Catholic Church with Father Don Henkes presiding. The family will receive friends at Lux Funeral Home on Friday from 5-8 p.m. with the vigil beginning at 7:30 p.m. Visitation continues at the church on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the Mass begins. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family to offset funeral expenses. Envelopes are available at Lux Funeral Home. Donna was born June 5, 1950, in Hamtramck, the daughter of Anthony and Eleanore (Rakowski) Masiwchuk. She graduated from Hamtramck High School and studied medical transcription at Central Michigan University. As a member of St.Henry Parish she was very involved. She was a C.C.D. instructor, taught First Communion, visited shut-ins, and served as lector. Donna is survived by her four children, April (Alan) Squier of Dearborn Heights, Brenda Opyrchal of Lake, John Opyrchal of California, and Matthew Opyrchal of Mt. Pleasant; granddaughter, Allison Opyrchal; and sister, Barbara Masiwchuk. She was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, Ralph and Norman.
