Dora E. Shook

Dora Shook, 64, of Mt. Pleasant and formerly of Harrison passed away Friday, Sept. 29, 2006 at Tendercare in Mt. Pleasant. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 2 at Temple Church of the Nazarene, 108 Second St. Harrison, with Pastor William Lowe officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the wishes of the family. Envelopes are available at Lux Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant. Dora was born June 5, 1942 in Fairmont, WV, the daughter of William and Opal Costello. She married Gerald Shook May 28, 1961. She was a member of Temple Church of the Nazarene. Her favorite pastime was spending time with her grandchildren. Dora is survived by her two sons, Gerald (Shawna) Shook of Harrison and William (Christy) Shook of Pine Knot, KY; five grandchildren, Samantha and Travis Shook of Harrison and Christopher, Anna, and Zachary Shook of Pine Knot, KY; her brother, Marvin (Marcie) Costello of Fairmont, WV; and her sister, Jean Cowdrey of Harrison. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald in 2006; her parents; one brother; and five sisters.
