Dorothy M. Harvey, 92, of Mt. Pleasant, passed away Saturday, January 25, 2020, at home. She was born August 11, 1927, in Lakeview, Michigan, daughter of the late Elmer Henry and Inez Esther (Parks) Imhoff. A graduate of Mt. Pleasant High School, Dorothy married James Harvey on March 12, 1946, in Mt. Pleasant. A lifelong resident, she was employed by Central Michigan University for 23 years in food service and as a custodian. Some of her favorite pastimes were puzzles, playing cards, camping, bowling, and spending time with her family. Dorothy is survived by two sons, David (Clayanna) Harvey of Mt. Pleasant and Randy (Cindy) Harvey of Midland; six grandchildren, Michelle (Raymond) Sehl, Dave (Chris) Harvey Jr., Todd Harvey, Kerrie (Dave) Doty, Alicia (Eric) McGillis and Amber Harvey (Jessi Parker); 19 great grandchildren; 14 great-great grandchildren; sister, Nancy Bennett of Harrison; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, James Harvey; two sons, Raymond Harvey and Kenneth Harvey; two granddaughters, Jamie Harvey and Kayla Harvey; and seven sisters, Wilma Durfee, Frances Shartzer, Evelyn Mudry, Oletha Batchelder, Clarabell Germain, Ardine Brown, and Lois McCann. Dorothys funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, January 29, at Charles R. Lux Family Funeral Home with Aaron Zeiler of Glad Tidings Church in Oil City officiating. Burial will immediately follow in Chippewa Township Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 4-8 p.m. and on Wednesday one hour prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be made to Heartland Hospice or to the wishes of the family. Envelopes are available at the funeral home.
