Dorothy Lucille Koehl, 62, of Leander, Texas was released into Gods care early Saturday morning after a long illness. She was born May 20, 1941 to Verda Mae Morey-Foreman and Robert Wynn Foreman in Vandalia, Michigan. She was the second of four children. Some of the things she loved in life were ice skating, dancing, memories of her travels around the world with her husband and daughters, and her beloved puppies. She loved to reminisce on her youth, swimming and canoeing with her brother and other adventures with childhood friends. Some of the friends she spoke fondly of to the end include Poppy Denton, Janet Albar, Linda Swain, Gordon Walsworth, Pete and Gene Moutsatson. Dorothy will be remembered with love by many, including her siblings and their spouses, Larry and Cindy Foreman of Wimberley, Texas, Carol and Bill Ervin of Mt. Pleasant, Michigan, and Vicki LaBrecque of Austin, Texas; Dorothy's four daughters and their spouses, Heather Koehl of Austin and fianc Eric Langmayr, to reside in Germany after August, 2004, Carol and Robert Korzekwa of Arlington, Texas, Barbara and Robert McCarley of Austin, Texas, and Kathy and Doug Whitson of Leander, Texas; and 11 grandchildren. She is also survived by her uncle, Dick Foreman, cousins, Pam Blake, Jackie Morey, David Morey, Cindy Morey-Caszatt, Kim Morey, Kenneth Cook, and 13 nieces and nephews.. She is reunited with her husband, Jim Koehl, who passed from this world in July of 2003. She was also preceded in death by her parents. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, March 8, 2004 in the Beck Funeral Home at 1700 E. Whitestone, Cedar Park. A viewing will also be held in Victoria, Texas on Tuesday, at 12:00 p.m. at the Rosewood Chapel, 3304 E. Mockingbird Lane. 361-573-4546.
