Dorothy M. Theisen, 93, of Mt. Pleasant died Sunday, June 11, 2006 at the Isabella County Medical Care Facility. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 14, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Robert Byrne presiding. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 7-9 p.m. with a vigil service beginning at 7:30 p.m. Visitation continues at the church on Wednesday from 10-11 a.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Commission on Aging or Hospice of Central Michigan. Envelopes are available at Lux Funeral Home. Dorothy was born Jan. 18, 1913 in Isabella County, the daughter of Earl and Edna (Wiley) Hammond. She married Elmer E. Theisen at Sacred Heart. She worked as a hair stylist out of her home. She was a member of Sacred Heart Parish, the Catholic Daughters, and the Women of the Moose. Dorothy is survived by two daughters, Dianna English of Mt. Pleasant and Joycelyn (Fred) Julian of Comstock Park; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Max (Betty) Hammond of Mt. Pleasant, Harvey (Doris) Hammond of Harrison, and Curt (Pauline) Hammond of Alger; and two sisters, Madeline Nagy of Mt. Pleasant and Doris Dornbos of Portage. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Elmer in 1966; a grandson, Brad Julian; and a sister, Orm Spalsbury.
