Eileen M. Rush

Eileen M. Rush, 99, of Mt. Pleasant died Monday, December 10, 2001 at Maplewood. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11 a.m. Friday, December 14, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Robert Byrne officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the mass. Memorial contributions may be made to the Sacred Heart Academy Foundation or Hospice of Central Michigan. Envelopes will be available at the church or at Lux Funeral Home. Eileen was born February 9, 1902, in Isabella County, the daughter of Charles and Mary Ellen (Kane) Rush. She worked for Detroit Edison for 32 years as supervisor of stenographic service. She retired in 1967. She loved traveling, knitting, crocheting and needlepoint. Eileen is survived by several nieces and nephews including Tom (Hilda) Rush of Midland and Bill (Eileen) Rush of Mt. Pleasant. She was preceded in death by five brothers, Harry, Thomas, John, Charles and Joseph Rush; and one sister, Anna Marie Rush.
