Eileen L. Sharp

Eileen Sharp, 80, of Mt. Pleasant passed away Wednesday, May 17, 2017, at the Isabella County Medical Care Facility. Her funeral will be held at 11:30 a.m. Monday, May 22, at Charles R. Lux Family Funeral Home with Deacon Larry Fussman officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 10 a.m. until the service begins. A luncheon will follow at the funeral home with burial concluding in St. Joseph Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the wishes of the family. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. Eileen was born February 22, 1937, in Mt. Pleasant, daughter of the late Arthur and Gretchen (Smith) David. Her marriage to Henry Junior Burggraf produced two children, Beth and Tim. She later married Robert Sharp on February 16, 1979 in Mt. Pleasant. She was a daycare provider for over 20 years and also volunteered as a foster grandparent for eight years. She was an active member of the Eagles Club and she enjoyed boating, camping, and reading. Eileen is survived by her daughter, Beth Burggraf (Steve Wilson) of Mt. Pleasant; daughter-in-law, Shelly Burggraf of Shepherd; six grandchildren, Shawn (Danielle) McBride, Stacy (Aaron) Jones, Nathan Darnell, Timothy (Melissa) Burggraf, Adam (Shanna) Burggraf, and Amanda Burggraf; nine great-grandchildren; and brother, Clarence (Faye) David of Williamston. She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Gretchen David; husband, Robert Sharp in 2012; son, Timothy Burggraf in 2012; and brother, Ronald David in 2011.
