Elizabeth Judge, 59, of Mt. Pleasant, passed away Sunday, October 23, 2016, at home, with her family by her side. A Funeral Mass for Elizabeth will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Thursday, October 27, at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Shepherd with Father Fred Kawka as celebrant. A luncheon will immediately follow. Burial will be in St. Leo Cemetery in Winn. The family will receive friends at Charles R. Lux Family Funeral Home on Wednesday from 4-8 p.m. with the Vigil beginning at 7:30 p.m. Visitation continues at the church on Thursday one hour prior to Mass. Memorial contributions may be to the wishes of the family. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. Elizabeth was born Aug. 4, 1957, in Mt. Pleasant, daughter of the late Patrick and Hedwig Hedy (Neyer) Quillen. A 1975 graduate of Sacred Heart Academy, Elizabeth married John Judge on July 28, 1978, at Sacred Heart Church. She sold real estate for over 10 years and drove bus for Shepherd Public Schools for many years. She loved all her bus kids. In her spare time she enjoyed restoring old houses, raising horses, and she was known to be quite a talented artist. But nothing gave her more joy than spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Elizabeth is survived by her husband of 38 years, John; four children, John Judge of Shepherd, Jason Judge of Weidman, Jeremy Judge of Mt. Pleasant, and Elisza (Jeff) Lambert of St. Clair Shores; four grandchildren, Blake and Braelynn Judge, Averi Judge, and Jax Lambert; nine siblings, Carol Quillen of Beal City, Michael Quillen of Mecosta, Connie (Jerry) Miller of Martinez, CA, Barbara Crandall of Beal City, Deborah Predmesky of Beal City, Daniel Quillen of Hastings, Brian Quillen of St. Johns, Heidi Quillen of Mt. Pleasant, and Julie (Phil) Gross of Beal City; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Mark Quillen.
