Ellen Grinzinger, 80, of Mt. Pleasant passed away Sunday, July 30, 2017, at Spectrum Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids with her daughters by her side. She meets her beloved husband, Robert and son, Joe in eternal life. A Funeral Mass for Ellen will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday, August 3, at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church in Beal City with Father Thomas Held as celebrant. A luncheon will immediately follow at the Beal City Knights of Columbus Hall. Cremation will take place after Mass and her ashes will be interred in St. Joseph Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church Wednesday from 5"8 p.m. with the Rosary beginning at 7:30 p.m. Visitation continues Thursday one hour prior to Mass. Memorial contributions may be made to the wishes of the family. Envelopes will be available at the church or at the Charles R. Lux Family Funeral Home. Ellen was born December 29, 1936, to Frank and Viola (OBrien) Engler in the family farm home. On September 29, 1956 she married the love of her life, Robert Grinzinger, at St. Philomena Catholic Church in Beal City. Together they raised six children and were blessed with ten grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She is survived by her five daughters, Jill (Steven) Miller, Jane (Scott) Yost, Judi Grinzinger, Joy (Charles) Lobaito, Jamie (Jason) Medler; brother, Francis (Mary Ann) Engler; sister-in-law, Bernice Grinzinger; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Viola Engler; husband, Robert in April 2017; son, Joseph Grinzinger in 2011; and sister, Rosemary Pung. Ellen loved her family very much. She enjoyed cooking, baking, canning, traveling, working, trips to the casino, and her friends.
