Elton Dean Shattuck

Elton Dean Shattuck, age 82 of Mt. Pleasant passed away on Sunday, September 20, 2020 at the Laurels of Mt Pleasant.

Elton was born on August 6, 1938 to Ernest Elsworth and Olive Bessie (Wiser) Shattuck in Lincoln Township of Isabella County. He grew up in the Riverdale area and graduated from Vestaburg High School in 1956 . Elton married Shirley Louise Pease on April 25, 1964 at the Winn United Methodist Church. He worked at Alma Products as a machinist and retired after 35 years of employment. Elton served his country proudly in the United States Army and he was part of the Old Ironsides Division. Elton loved to go fishing and working on old cars was a favorite pastime. Elton was a member of the Isabella Baptist Church of Mt. Pleasant.

Elton leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Shirley Shattuck; daughter, Carrie (Chris) Helms; granddaughter, Addison Claubaugh; siblings, Marilyn Russell and Gary Shattuck; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Elton was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Naomi, Joyce, Geraldine, Eleene and Wavel.

Services for Elton will take place at a later date.
