Emily Cole-Zaragoza

Emily Cole-Zaragoza, aged 37, of Mt. Pleasant, Michigan, passed away on Tuesday, June 24, 2025. Born on March 23, 1988, in Mt. Pleasant, she was the beloved daughter of Mark and Julie (McCoy) Cole. Emily was a proud member of the class of 2006 in Shepherd and pursued her passion for helping others by attending Mid Michigan College to become a Certified Nursing Assistant.

Emily dedicated several years of her career to the Masonic Home in Alma and was most recently employed by McLaren Central Michigan. On August 21, 2021, she married Daniel Zaragoza in Isabella County, and together they shared a life filled with love and joy.

Emily had a profound love for animals and cherished her two sons deeply. She was known for her generosity, especially towards her nieces and nephews, whom she adored. Her kind spirit and loving nature will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Emily is survived by her husband, Daniel; two sons, Aiden and Brennan; parents, Mark and Julie Cole; siblings, Jason (Melissa) Hall and twins, Hannah (Spencer) Lynch and Katie (Brandon) Holy; paternal grandmother, Ann Cole; nieces and nephews, Jillian (Joe) Clark, Grant Hall, Jack, Roslyn, and Francis Lynch, and Ethan Holy; and many aunt, uncles, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Gary Cole; and maternal grandparents, Art and Katie McCoy.

A private family service is being held. Those planning to make an expression of sympathy may wish to consider Humane Animal Treatment Society (HATS) or to the wishes of the family. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
