Ephriam V. Marshall

Ephriam Marshall, 90, of Mt. Pleasant passed away Sunday, June 22, 2014, at The Laurels of Mt. Pleasant. His funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 25, at Lux Funeral Home of Mt. Pleasant with the Rev. Kelly Morley officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Gardens Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be made to Woodland Hospice. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. Ephriam was born Sept. 30, 1923, in Farwell, son of the late Edward and Mary Belle (Brooks) Marshall. A graduate of Farwell High School, he married Donna Campbell on Oct. 14, 1945 in Mt. Pleasant. He retired from Dow Chemical after 28 years. He and Donna traveled to every state except Hawaii. Some of his favorite pastimes were hunting, ice fishing, playing baseball, and watching the Detroit Tigers. He was a member of the Mt. Pleasant Green Sox team which was champion of the 1949 CMBL. Ephriam is survived by four children, Thomas Marshall of Midland, Rockland (Susan) Marshall of Spring Lake, Dan (Paula) Marshall of Shepherd and Leigh (Don) Chippewa of Mt. Pleasant; 15 grandchildren, Thomas, Tamara, Christopher, Kendra, Amanda, Andrea, Anthony, Paul, Clinton, Lisa, Ryan, Nicole, Candace, Edward and John; 28 great-grandchildren; one brother, Elton Marshall of Farwell; and two sisters, Doris (Jerry) Burzyck of Saginaw and Linda (Keith) Clark of Owosso. He was preceded in death by his wife, Donna; daughter, Pamela Marshall; daughter-in-law, Margaret Marshall; brother, Raymond Marshall; and sister, Margie Border.
