Eugene Amos Collis

Eugene A. Collis, 89, of Midland, MI died peacefully on March 24, 2021. He was born on November 13, 1931, in Flint, MI. Gene is survived by his wife of 65 years, Jane F. Collis of Midland, MI; his sister, Shirley I. (Ramon) Sherman of Sanford, MI; and multiple nieces, nephews, and their families. Gene was preceded in death by his parents, Amos B. Collis and Lela I. Collis Thurston; sons, Wade L. (Gretchen) Collis and Todd M. Collis; and sister, Joyce F. (Lovell) Kain. Gene attended Michigan State University and worked for the Dow Chemical Company for many years in a variety of roles.  He enjoyed sports of all kinds and volunteered as an umpire for the City of Midland Recreation Department. Gene requested no services and a private burial.  Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider the donor's favorite charity.
