Eugene Quail, 83, of Weidman passed away on Monday, December 13, 2021, at McLaren Bay Region in Bay City. Eugene was born on April 8, 1938, son of the late Michael and Helen (Cyrol) Quail, in Detroit, Mi. He graduated from East Side High in Detroit and continued his education at the University of Detroit, where he graduated with a degree in Physics. In 1972 Eugene married the love of his life, Christina Zuk. Together they raised two children. Eugene received a law degree in 1977 from the University of Detroit Law School. He worked on projects including the Gemini program at McDonnell, Boeing, and General Dynamics for approximately 10 years, then worked for Ford Motor Company and was a test engineer for the 1994 Ford Mustang. After retiring from Ford Motor Co., Eugene started his own private law practice. His focus was on wills and trusts. Eugene also had a passion for horses. He was involved with the Monroe County 4H Horse and Pony. He was also a Cub Scout leader, enjoyed hunting and outdoor activities. He relished his walks outside. Eugene is survived by his wife of 49 years; children, Jennifer Quail of Dowagiac, and Christopher Quail of Mount Kisco, NY.; siblings, Dolores Kotylo, Robert (Alice) Quail, Gerald Quail, and Allen (Kathy) Quail; and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded by both parents; and eight siblings. Per Eugene's wishes, cremation has taken place and there are no services scheduled at this time.
