Eunice V. Kane

Eunice Kane, 95, of Centerville, OH, and formerly of Mt. Pleasant passed away Tuesday, March 11, 2008 in Ohio. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 19, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Robert Byrne presiding. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church on Wednesday from 9-11 a.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Sacred Heart Academy Foundation. Envelopes will be available at the church or at Lux Funeral Home. Eunice was born March 18, 1912, in Saginaw the daughter of Frank and Bessie (Dunn) Draves. She married Philip Kane on Aug. 13, 1935 at St. Andrew Church in Saginaw. She was a member of Sacred Heart Parish for 60 years. She worked at Belles Hat Shop, was a receptionist at Lenores Beauty Salon, and was employed by Central Michigan University where she worked in the University Center Music Lounge. For the past ten years she has resided in Centerville, OH. Eunice is survived by her daughter, Kay Stieg of Bellbrook, OH; daughter-in-law, Patricia Kane of Chicago, IL; five grandchildren, Karrie (David), Kelly (Tom) and their father, Lyle, Sarah (fianc, Matt), Pat, and Cindy; four great-grandchildren, Kane, Mollie, Hannah, and Aaron. She was preceded in death by her husband, Philip in 1974; and her son, Robert Kane.
