Evan Michael Duffiney, 16, of Shepherd, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, August 26, 2018. His funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, September 1, at Charles R. Lux Family Funeral Home with Pastor David Weatherford officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery followed by a luncheon at Lincoln Reception Center. The family will receive friends on Friday from 2-8 p.m. and on Saturday one hour prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be made to the family. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. Evan was born June 28, 2002, in Mt. Pleasant, son of Lucas Miles Duffiney and Melissa Lee (Henry) Lamb. He was just about to start his Sophomore year at Shepherd High School where he was a member of the junior varsity football team. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. Evan is survived by his father Lucas (Erica) Duffiney of Shepherd; mother, Melissa (Ken) Lamb of Portland, TN; three siblings, Brandon, Brittany (Jacob Turner), and Alex; five step-siblings, Jasmine, Katelyn, and James Lamb, and Audrey and Blain Flohr; paternal grandmother, Mary Duffiney of Mt. Pleasant; maternal grandmother, Pamela Tice of Lake City; maternal grandfather, Ronald Henry of Cadillac; step-grandparents, Ann Marie Belski of Bowling Green, KY, Kenneth Lamb Sr. of Nashville, TN, and Lloyd Butch and Charlotte Arthur of Lake; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Alfred Duffiney; and step-grandfather, Donald Tice; and infant brother, Lucas Duffiney.
