Evangeline A. Doneth, 76, of Mt. Pleasant passed away Friday, February 1, 2002 at her residence. Her funeral mass will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 5, at Sacred Heart Church in Mt. Pleasant with her nephew, Father David Speicher officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery in Beal City. Friends may call at Lux Funeral Home on Monday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. with a vigil service beginning at 6:30 p.m. Visitation continues at the church on Tuesday from 11 a.m. until service time. Memorial contributions may be made to the Commission on Aging or to HATS (Humane Animal Treatment Society). Envelopes are available at the funeral home. Vange was born August 2, 1925, in Lapeer County, the daughter of Michael and Mary (Robinet) Weingartz. She married Dr. Harold Doneth on June 18, 1949 at St. Peter and Paul Church in North Branch. She and her husband moved to Mt. Pleasant in 1949. Together they owned and operated Dr. Harold Doneth D.V.M. Most important in her life was her family and her love for animals, especially her cat. Vange is survived by her six loving children, Jeanette Rau of Mt. Pleasant, Richard (Rita) Doneth of Mt. Pleasant, Anita Doneth of Rosebush, Lucinda (Michael Block) Doneth of Bath, Marcia (Samuel) Richards of Mt. Pleasant, and Patrick Doneth of Lake Orion; 13 grandchildren; two great granddaughters; three brothers, Eugene (Maureen) Weingartz, Joe (Orva) Weingartz, and Bernard (Rose) Weingartz, all of North Branch; three sisters, Doris (Francis) Nellenbach of North Branch, Lucille (John) Speicher of Okemos, and Ruth Ann (John) Nellenbach of North Branch; two sisters-in-law, Betty Weingartz of North Branch and Wilda Longan of Bloomfield Hills; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Dr. Harold Doneth in 1992; and brother, George Weingartz.
