Evelyn E. Vadnais

Evelyn E. Vadnais, 85, of Mt. Pleasant passed away Saturday, January 19, 2002 at her home. Her memorial mass will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, January 22, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Mt. Pleasant with Father Robert Byrne officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the mass. Memorial contributions may be made to HATS (Humane Animal Treatment Society) or the Senior Center. Envelopes will be available at the church or at Lux Funeral Home. Evelyn was born April 18, 1916, in Munising, the daughter of Eugene and Clara (Jerry) Berry. She married Kenneth Vadnais in 1935 in Munising. She worked in accounting at CMU for 8 years. Prior to that she spent time working in the catalog department at JC Penny. Evelyn is survived by three daughters, Louise (Richard) LaPlaunt of Roger City, Jane (J.V.) Wilson of Seattle, WA, and Nancy (Ray) Mabry of Springdale, AR; two sons, Neil Vadnais of Oceanside, CA and Tom (Judy) Vadnais of Stanwood; 13 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; two brothers; and one sister. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth in 1990; and two brothers.
