Floyd Jackson, 90, of Mt. Pleasant passed away Tuesday, Nov. 10, 2015, at Isabella County Medical Care Facility. His funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Nov. 13, at Charles R. Lux Family Funeral Home with Deacon Larry Fussman officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Weidman with military honors. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until the service begins. Memorial contributions may be made to Commission on Aging or Woodland Hospice. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. Floyd was born Jan. 12, 1925, in Weidman, MI, son of the late Floyd J. and Beth S. (Waid) Jackson. A graduate of Weidman High School in 1942, Floyd was drafted by the U.S. Navy and served in World War II from 1943-1946. On Sept. 15, 1950, he married Delores M. Wilcox in Mt. Pleasant. He retired as a groundskeeper from The Mt. Pleasant Center in 1991. Prior to that, he had worked for Ferro Manufacturing. Some of his favorite pastimes included hunting, fishing, traveling, and dancing. He attended many World War II reunions over the years, including his last one in October of 2015. Floyd is survived by his wife of 65 years, Dee; three children, Doug (Nancy) Jackson of Weidman, Cyndi (Richard) Nartker and Susie (Lyle) Lux, both of Mt. Pleasant; eight grandchildren; Matthew, Kellie, Ryan, Megan, Brady, Lacey, Cody, and Raegan; four great-grandchildren, Alexis, Abbie, Abbey, and Jace; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Ken and Howard Jackson.
