Frances L. Looney

Frances Looney, 85, of Mt. Pleasant and formerly of Florida, passed away Monday, Dec. 22, 2014, at Prestige Centre in Mt. Pleasant. Cremation has taken place and no formal service is planned. Frances was born Feb. 11, 1929, daughter of the late Deaton and Faye (Reed) Carter. She married Ben Looney in 1965 in Las Vegas, NV. She graduated from Barstow High School in California and spent most of her career in Civil Service. She enjoyed reading and traveling. She was very involved in Assembly of God Church in Brooksville, FL and sang in the choir. Frances is survived by three children, Ann (Frank) Fay of Pahrump, NV, Wanda Hicks of Sears, and Dennis (Maryann) Cullender of Richmond, VA; six grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Wanda Burke of California, Deana Hippie of Kentucky and Marlene Carter of California; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband Ben Looney.
