Frances May Weaver (Bradshaw)

Frances Weaver, 93, of Mt Pleasant, passed away peacefully at Mt Pleasant Comfort Care on Tuesday, October 24, 2023, with her granddaughter and great granddaughter by her side.  Frances was born on June 15, 1930, daughter of the late Clyde and Dorothy (Mundy) Bradshaw in Hillsdale, MI.  On December 31, 1947, she married Charles Draper, in Litchfield, MI.  Their 25 years of marriage was blessed with two children, Charles, and Lonnie. On November 5, 1977, she married William Weaver in Traverse City.  They had 44 wonderful years before he passed in 2021.  Frances received her master's degree from Michigan State University in Education.  She worked for the Traverse Bay School District for over 30 years, retiring as a supervisor of social workers in 1990.  She also taught for one year in Alaska.  Frances enjoyed knitting, card playing and gardening.  She was a member of the St. John's Episcopal Church, Eastern Stars, Zona Club, President of the State School Social Worker Association, and President of the Women's American Legion and a Justice of the Peace in Litchfield Township.  Frances is survived by her daughter, Lonnie (Dean) McDuff of Mt. Pleasant; stepchildren, Cindy (Richard) Bragg of Reading, MI, and Thad (Laura) Weaver of Hasting, MI; eight grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by both parents; first husband Charles Draper; second husband William Weaver; and son, Charles (Julie) Draper.  Cremation has taken place at Memorial Fields Crematory and there are no services scheduled at this time.  To sign the online guest book or leave a condolence for the family please visit www.CharlesRLux.com.
