Frank Varga, 82, of Rosebush passed away Friday, Oct. 30, 2015, at Woodland Hospice House. The family will receive friends at Charles R. Lux Family Funeral Home on Sunday, Nov. 1, from 1-5 p.m. No formal service will be held. Cremation will follow and his ashes will be interred at Memorial Gardens Cemetery at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to Commission on Aging. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. Frank was born Dec. 15, 1932, in Rosebush, son of the late John and Emma (Black) Varga Sr. He attended Mt. Pleasant High School and joined the U.S. Air Force, serving from 1950-1952. On Feb. 10, 1967, he married Betty Ettinger in Forest Hill. He was employed as a truck driver for numerous local contractors, including Gary House and R.E. Hovey. He enjoyed recreational flying and visiting the casino with his wife. He was a lifetime member of the American Legion Post 383 in Rosebush. Frank is survived by his wife, Betty; his son, Matt (Anita) Varga of Holland; two granddaughters, Roshel and Heather Varga; two great-granddaughters, Hannah and Grace; sister-in-law, Faye Poet of Clare; his extended family, Larry and Jan Galgoci and family; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Frank Varga Jr.; and four siblings, John (Mary) Varga, Steve Varga, Irene Varga, and Joe Varga.
