Frederick Dale Noreen

Dale Noreen, 75, of Shepherd and formerly of Allen Park, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2009, at home, surrounded by his family. His funeral will take place at Noon on Thursday, Nov. 5, at the Charles R. Lux Family Funeral Home, 2300 S. Lincoln Rd., with Father Thomas J. McNamara officiating. Burial will be in Lincoln Township Cemetery. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be made to the family. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. Dale was born Dec. 31, 1933, in Dearborn, the son of John and Isabel (Chartier) Noreen. A graduate of Dearborn High School, Dale married Dolores Joan Snyder on May 29, 1954, in Dearborn, which produced a son, Frederick Jr. After her death he married Jean (Quillen) Steve on April 8, 1971, in Taylor. He was employed by Ford Motor Company Rouge Plant in Dearborn from 1954 until his retirement in 1989. Some of his favorite pastimes were fishing, crosswords, reading, and playing bridge. But most important to him was spending time with his family. Dale is survived by his wife, Jean of Shepherd; five children, Frederick (Angie Meade) Noreen Jr. of Doylestown, OH, Tamera (Jerry) Vesprini of South Lyon, Pamela Mary Steve, William (Lucy Kelley) Steve, and John (Julie Fiegert) Noreen, all of Shepherd; 13 grandchildren; one great-grandson; two sisters, Betty Wheeler of Nashville, TN and Claudia Williams of Farmington Hills; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Isabel Noreen; first wife, Joan; and his brother, Jack Emerson Noreen.
