Gary Gary B Howard Bugh, 75, of Mt. Pleasant, Michigan passed away on Saturday, January 2, 2016 at McLaren-Central Michigan. Gary was born on September 8, 1940 in Standish, Michigan the son of Howard George and Louise Clara (Haas) Bugh. On August 4, 1962, he was joined in marriage with Patty Jo Cox at St. Pauls Lutheran Church in Saginaw, Michigan. Gary was a radio broadcaster, known as Gary B to his many listeners, celebrating fifty years of broadcasting in 2009. He worked with WCEN for thirty four years and then with WPRJ since 1992. He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Mt. Pleasant, a Past President of the Mt. Pleasant JCs, member of the Toastmasters, Easter Seals, Michigan Outdoor Writers Association and was active in the Republican Party. He enjoyed cooking, gardening, antique collecting and detailing, hunting and fishing and reading American History. He was a man of God and his passion was sharing Christ with others. Gary is survived by his wife, Patty Jo; a daughter, Heather; and a son, Shawn Richard; along with sixteen grandchildren and three great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Dale and a daughter-in-law Julie Bugh. A service celebrating Garys life will be held on Thursday, January 7, 2016 at 11 a.m. from Immanuel Lutheran Church with Pastor Dana Hendershot officiating. A luncheon will follow the service in the Fellowship Hall. Following the luncheon, interment will take place in Riverside Cemetery. Friends and family will gather on Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. at the Rowley Funeral Home and again on Thursday from 10 a.m. until time of the service at the church. Memorial contributions have been suggested to the Immanuel Lutheran Church Discretionary Fund that will be used to disperse funds to Garys many charities.
