Gary Lynn Raymond, Sr.
Gary Lynn Raymond, Sr., age 68, of Lake passed away on September 9, 2015 at home surrounded by his loving family.
Gary was born on July 22, 1947 to Richard L and Vivian L. (Dennis) Raymond in Mt. Pleasant, MI. He was raised in the Mt. Pleasant area. Gary married Mary M. Ellis in Lansing on December 24, 1966. Gary worked for General Motors in Lansing, retiring after 37 years. Gary enjoyed Hit and Miss Engines and going to antique tractor shows, hunting and fishing, NASCAR, old cars and playing Wii Golf with Mary. His most loved passion was spending time with his family and friends.
Gary is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Mary; children, Gary (Sarah) Raymond II, Michael (Kathryn) Raymond and Carl (Luella) Raymond; 9 special grandchildren; siblings, Sharon, Gale, Richard, Kathy and Deborah; his special puppies, Bailey and Codi and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Gary was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Linda and brother, Timothy.
A Celebration of Gary's life will be held on Tuesday, September 15, 2015 at the Weidman Baptist Church at 2 P.M. with Pastor Dean Willard officiating. The family will meet with friends from noon to 2:00 P.M. until time of service. Burial will take place at Riverside Cemetery in Mt. Pleasant.
