Geneive E. Haynes

Geneive E. Haynes, of Mt. Pleasant, Michigan passed away on Monday, August 21, 2017 at the Isabella County Medical Care Facility. Geneive was born on June 13, 1931 in Charleston, West Virginia, the daughter of Albert and Leona (Recker) Haynes. She was employed as a Manager-Nursing Supervisor at Central Michigan Community Hospital for many years. She enjoyed bowling, and took care of her mother for over twenty years. Geneive was a veteran of the US Army from 1951 till 1955. Geneive is survived by her son, Scott Schmierer of Shepherd; four grandchildren, Chrystal, Nick, Tracy and William Schmierer; and two great grandchildren, Zachary and Josh. She was preceded in death by her parents and a son, Ted. Private graveside funeral services were held on Wednesday, August 23, 2017 at Riverside Cemetery in Mt. Pleasant with Rev. Connie Bongard officiating. Interment took place after the service.
