Genevieve "Jan" Loomis

Jan Loomis, 89, of Mt. Pleasant and formerly of Edmonson County, KY, passed away Saturday, Oct. 10, 2015, at the Isabella County Medical Care Facility. Jan was born April 21, 1926, in Edmonson County, KY, daughter of the late Rev. Leland W. and Truly (Durbin) Patterson. She owned and operated Jans Flowers in Rose City, MI for 10 years before moving to South Carolina. She retired from Shandon Greenhouses in Columbia, SC. She is survived by three children, David Owen of Grand Junction, CO, Gary Ingram of Florida, and Janice (Dale Mueller) Ingram of Mt. Pleasant, MI; daughter-in-law, Sandra Ingram-Vlassis of Columbia, SC; nine grandchildren, Melissa (Kevin) Kuper, Jill Ann (Charlie) Sellers, Jake (Angie) Ingram, A.J. Ingram, Danny (Josilyn) Ingram, Kristen Ingram and David Ingram, Jessica (Peter) Williams-Close, and Adam Redmon; seven great-grandchildren, Bryce, Landon, Lainey, Lyza, Evelyn, Jacob and Caleb; two siblings, Pat (Gig) Patterson of Lansing, MI and Susie of California; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Alan Ingram and Frank Ingram; and four siblings; and the father of her children, William Wray Ingram. A Memorial Service for Jan will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 24, at Colgate Baptist Church in Clarksville, IN with her nephew, the Rev. James Mitchell Bullock officiating.
