George Orville Bevil, age 63, of Farwell passed away on October 30, 2014 at home surrounded by his loving family.
George was born to John T. and Catherine (Delahunty) Bevil on June 06, 1951 in Detroit, MI. He served his country proudly in the U. S. Army from 1975-1979. George proposed to Sandra J. Svabik in the back seat of a 1969 Pontiac in the parking lot at Burger King. They were married in Detroit on November 11, 1975. He drove truck for 30 years for Twin Pines Dairy, CF Burger Dairy, and Hollaway Construction.George also worked for Brown Milling Fertilizer and Wal-Mart of Mt Pleasant. George also volunteered for Meals on Wheels in Farwell for the seniors.He loved playing Dominos and Uno with his family and also playing Tiles and Farmville on the computer. George would bring home Sandy lots of small gifts on the 4th of July because he missed most of the Holidays from being on the road. He loved his family and adored his grandson, Bentley. His pride and joy was his Ford 8N tractor.
George leaves to cherish his memory: his wife, Sandra J. Bevil; daughters, Jennifer A. Bevil and Michelle E. (Bevil) and Eric Kern; grandson, Bentley Kern; mother, Catherine (Bevil) Delahunty; father, John T. Bevil, Sr; brother, John T. Bevil, Jr; sisters, Patricia Bevil, Mary Hardison, Rosemarie (Bevil) Samuels; and Beth (Rich) Herbert.
Per George's request, his body has been donated to the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor.
