Gerald "Bud" Case

Gerald "Bud" Case, 96, passed away on Tuesday, October 3, 2023, at MyMichigan Medical Center in Clare. Bud was born on February 1, 1927, in Lansing, MI.  He was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Ruth (Purcell) Case, his parents Gerald and Nina (Davis) Case, and his sister, Jean Howard.  The day after graduating from Haslett High School, Bud entered the U.S. Army serving in WWII.  He was self-employed most of his life, including owning Little Switzerland Resort in Newaygo, MI, for many years.  Bud enjoyed traveling, hunting, and fishing.  He is survived by his daughters, Susan (John) Bourland of Harrison, MI, and Diana (Joe Dickson) Ruby of Lake George, MI, 3 grandchildren, Jennifer (Brent) Spaulding, Chris (Claire) Bourland and Rachel (Troy) Rhoades, 7 great-grandchildren Kameron, Colin, Manoli, Alex, Anastacia, McKenzie and Taylor, and several nieces and nephews.  A gathering of friends and family to reminisce about Bud's life well lived will be held on Saturday, October 28, 2023 from 2:00 P.M.– 4:00 P.M. at Lake Lansing Park North, Oak Knoll Pavilion, 6260 E.
