Gerald E. Gaudette, 75, of Lake Isabella and formerly of Riverview, died at home May 14, 2004. A Mass of Christian Burial celebrating his life will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, May 17, at St. Joseph The Worker Church in Beal City (2163 N. Winn Rd.) with Father John Cotter officiating. Friends may call at Lux Funeral Home on Sunday from 2-9 p.m. with a vigil service beginning at 4:00 p.m. Visitation continues at the church on Monday from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Central Michigan (401 S. Main, Mt. Pleasant MI 48858) or St. Joseph Church (2163 N. Winn Rd., Mt. Pleasant MI 48858). Envelopes are available at Lux Funeral Home. Gerald was born July 14, 1928, in Windsor, Ontario, the son of Joseph A. and Mary (Michael) Gaudette. He married Mary Reaume November 18, 1950, in LaSalle, Ontario. Gerald enjoyed fishing, boating, golfing, and all types of handyman work. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 3651 in Beal City, Charter Commission Member for Lake Isabella, active in youth group fundraisers for athletics and was an active church member in Riverview. Gerald is survived by his wife, Mary Gaudette of Lake Isabella; five children, Christopher (Karen) Gaudette of Birmingham, Daniel (Janis) Gaudette of Brentwood, TN, Roger (Tracey) Gaudette of Grosse Ile, Denise (Douglas) Ochmanek of Wyandotte, and Janine (Greg) Irmen of Kalamazoo; 11 grandchildren, one sister Dorothy Martin of LaSalle, ON; two brothers Thomas (Patricia) Gaudette of New York, and Donald (Evelyn) Gaudette of Windsor, ON. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers Robert and Elphege Gaudette.
