Gerald "Jerry" Leighton Sellon

Jerry Sellon, 69, of Lake Isabella passed away unexpectedly on March 30, 2023, at McLaren Central Michigan in Mt. Pleasant.  Jerry was born on January 13, 1954, in Kalamazoo, son of the late Francis and Cora (Libiecki) Sellon.  He graduated from LoyNorrix High School in Kalamazoo with the class of 1972.  Jerry married the love of his life Victoria Schafer on August 12, 2000, in Kalamazoo.  He worked for Webers Specialties in School Craft for over 30 years with a perfect attendance before retiring in 2014 and moving to Lake Isabella with Vicki. Jerry was a Nascar fan and was known for his infectious laugh.  He had many friends and loved his grandchildren.   In the summer months Jerry maintained an immaculate yard, he enjoyed being outdoors and camping with Vicki. Jerry will be missed by so many.  He is survived by his wife, Vicki; sons, Corey (Tina) Sherman of Remus, and Jason (Christina) Sherman of Lake; grandchildren, Alex (Billy) Koepf, Austin Sherman, Colton Sherman, Jason Bialik, Kirsten Sherman, Lily Sherman and Nick Sherman.  He is preceded in death by both parents; and siblings, Pat Bishop, Dennis Sellon and Richard Sellon.  Per Jerry's wishes cremation has taken place at Memorial Fields Crematory and a memorial service celebrating Jerry's life will be held at 11am on Saturday, April 8, 2023, at Charles R. Lux Family Funeral Home with Deacon Larry Fussman officiating. Family will receive friends one hour prior to service.  Immediately following service, all are invited to join the family for a luncheon located in the Lincoln Reception Center.
