Geraldine M. Zeneberg, 85, of Mt. Pleasant passed away Sunday, Dec. 3, 2006 at her home surrounded by her family. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 6, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Robert Byrne presiding. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call at Lux Funeral Home on Tuesday from 2-9 p.m. with a vigil service beginning at 7 p.m. Visitation continues at the church on Wednesday from 10-11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Central Michigan, Sacred Heart Academy Foundation, masses, or the charity of choice. Envelopes are available at Lux Funeral Home. Geri was born Feb. 5, 1921, in Mt. Pleasant, the daughter of Romia and Edith (Faber) Beltinck. She married Edward Casmer Zeneberg on May 9, 1942 at Sacred Heart. She was a member of Sacred Heart Church, CMCH Auxiliary, and the Medical Care Facility Auxiliary. She had been an active volunteer at Central Michigan Community Hospital and the Soup Kitchen. She is survived by seven of her nine children and 25 grandchildren, Kay (deceased) (Clare) Randall of Mecosta; Karen, Chris, Doug, Susan, Geri Jo; Karol (Harold) Gross of St. Johns; Kevin, Tim, Amy, Melissa; Robert (Marilyn) Zeneberg of Mt, Pleasant, Kelly, Craig, Scott, Misty; Thomas (Joyce) Zeneberg of Higgins Lake; Ann, Megan; Edward Zeneberg of Jenison; Danielle, Edward Jeremy; Daniel Zeneberg of Mt. Pleasant; Zachary, Kathryn, Jonathan; Jack Zeneberg of Mt. Pleasant; Joni, Corey; and Penny (Jeff) McDonald of Cadillac; Matthew, Kyle, Travis; 22 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild; sisters, Rosalie Zoleski of Traverse City and Jean Beiske of Mt. Pleasant; sisters-in-law Ethel Beltinck and Keitha Beltinck, both of Mt. Pleasant. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Edward, her daughter Catherine Kay and infant daughter, Bonnie; six brothers, Roy, Raymond, John, Myles, Francis, and Romia, Beltinck Jr.; and sister Betty Rich. Geri will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, mother-in-law, sister and caring friend.
