Glenn Michael Pasch

Glenn Pasch, 83, of Beal City, passed away Wednesday, July 17, 2024, at the Isabella County Medical Care Facility. Glenn was born June 1, 1941, in Isabella County, Michigan, the son of the late Edward L. and Leona M. (Boge) Pasch. He graduated from Beal City High School. On August 11, 1962, Glenn married Sheila Mead at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Mt. Pleasant. Glenn farmed for the majority of his life. He had worked for Tilmann Hardware in Beal City. In 1983, he purchased Western Auto in Weidman and operated it until his retirement in 2006. He was good at tinkering with anything mechanical and was an expert at making hard cider. He volunteered for the Sherman-Nottawa Fire Department, served as constable for Nottawa Township and was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Parish and Beal City Knights of Columbus. Glenn had a wonderful sense of humor and enjoyed spending time with people, often offering to give them a ride by various means of transportation. Glenn is survived by his children, Rose (Jim) Shufelt of Shepherd, Tim (Terri) Pasch of Farwell, Rebecca Pasch of Lake, and Suzanne (Roger) Donaldson of Clare; eight grandchildren, Kayla Shufelt, Ashley Shufelt, and Justin Shufelt, Hunter Pasch, Colby Roosa and Jack Roosa, and Colin Donaldson and Silas Donaldson; three great grandchildren, Beau, Lukas, and Hudson; brother, Steve Pasch of St. Helen; in-laws, Robert (Linda) Mead and Darlene Mead; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Leona Pasch; wife, Sheila Pasch; daughter, Shelly Martin; and son in-law Mike Martin. A Funeral Mass for Glenn will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 20, at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church. Father Thomas J. McNamara will preside. A luncheon will follow at the Beal City Knights of Columbus Hall. The family will receive friends in the gathering room of the church on Friday from 4-7 p.m. and on Saturday one hour before Mass. Memorial contributions may be made to Woodland Hospice or the Isabella County Medical Care Facility. Envelopes will be available at the church.
