Gloria S. Thomson

Gloria S. Thomson, aged 77, of Mt. Pleasant, passed away on Thursday, March 19, 2026, at Mt. Pleasant Comfort Care. Born in Dearborn, Michigan, on February 1, 1949, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Thelma (Shepard) Stanley. Gloria graduated from high school and went on to earn her bachelor's degree from Bob Jones University in South Carolina in 1971. She dedicated 20 years of her life to teaching at Mt. Pleasant Public Schools.

On April 2, 1977, Gloria married Ronald J. Thomson in Prescott, Michigan. She was a devoted wife and mother. Gloria is survived by her loving husband, Ronald; her son, Jeremy Thomson; her brother, Donald (Connie) Stanley; as well as two nieces and one nephew.

A memorial service to honor Gloria's life will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, March 27, at Maranatha Baptist Church in Mt. Pleasant, where she was a cherished member. Pastor Doug Levesque will officiate the service.
