Goldie Jane Goodin Gross Leftwich, passed away Wednesday, August 8, 2018, at Munson Health Care Cadillac Hospital. She was 90. Mrs. Leftwich was born October 25, 1927 in Whitley, Kentucky to Alvin and Nanny (Faulkner) Goodin. She married Webster Gross in 1945 and he preceded her in death in 1976. Goldie married Mack Leftwich in 1965 and he preceded her in death in 2000. Goldie had lived in Hazel Park, Mt.Clemens & Troy Michigan, and the last three years in Cadillac. She spent her working life as a housewife and mother and worked odd jobs in the area. Goldie was devoted to her family and loved spending time with her grandkids. She enjoyed reading poetry to her kids and grandkids. Her hobbies included crochet, working puzzles, Word Search, playing Skip Bo and she was a various reader. Goldie was a member of Cadillac Church of Christ in Cadillac, Michigan. She was thought of as kind and giving and a very gentle spirit by all and will be missed until we meet again in heaven. Goldie is survived by five children, Carol Deacon of Sterling Heights, David Gross of Newport Beach, California, Gary (Sandy) Leftwich of Cadillac, Teresa Leftwich of Wixom and Sandy (Charles) McMillan of Royal Oak; eight grandchildren, Tom, Sheila, David, Matthew, Stephanie, Nathanael, Sydney and Mason; 11 great grandchildren, Alyssa, Thomas, Nate, Ben, Eli, Marek Alexander, Andrew, Aidan, Leonardo, Matteo, Vincenzo. She was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands; daughter, Nancy Slocum; son, Webster Gross; and two great grandchildren, Milo and Nico. Goldie Jane Leftwich will be laid to rest next to her husband Mack Leftwich in White Chapel Cemetery, Troy, Michigan. A Memorial Service will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, August 11, at White Chapel Cemetery with her son evangelist Gary Leftwich officiating.
