Hazel May Decator, age 89, of Remus went to be with her Lord & Savior on September 23, 2016 surrounded by her loving family.

Hazel was born to Archie & Dora (Hall) Shields in Mobile, Alabama on June 17, 1927. She was raised in the Flint, MI area. In 1952 Hazel met and married Frank Arthur Decator and spent the next 61 years with Frank who preceded her in death in 2013.

She loved to be outside working in her garden and yard, always taking care of the birds. Hazel was an excellent seamstress also crocheting & knitting. Most of all Hazel loved spending time with God and her family.

Hazel is survived by her children, Cynthia Louise Decator of Barryton, Rosanne (David Townshend) Ames of Lansing and Stephen Decator of Mt. Pleasant; grandsons, Christopher Michael & Nathan. She also will be remembered by Franks many relatives in the Flint area.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank; siblings, John, Kenneth & Barbara.

Per Hazels wishes a private graveside side service will be held at a later date.
