Helen Clark, 92, of Mt. Pleasant and formerly of Albion passed away Thursday, October 30, 2014, at the Isabella County Medical Care Facility. A Funeral Mass for Helen will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 3, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Mt. Pleasant with Father Thomas Held presiding. A luncheon will follow immediately at Charles R. Lux Family Funeral Home. Burial will be in Marengo Township Cemetery near Albion. The family will receive friends at Charles R. Lux Family Funeral Home on Sunday from 3-6 p.m. with the Vigil at 5:30 p.m. Visitation continues at the church on Monday from 9:30 a.m. until the Mass begins. Memorial contributions may be made to Sacred Heart Parish or Sacred Heart Academy Foundation. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. Helen was born March 26, 1922, in Albion, daughter of the late Michael and Mary (Schultz) Sibal. She married Curtis Clark on Aug. 31, 1946, at St. Johns Catholic Church in Albion. She was very active at St. Johns where she volunteered for church dinners, helped clean, and sang in the church choir. While in Albion she worked 22 years as a dental assistant for Dr. A.G. Davis and another 20 years at City Bank as a teller. She had also been employed by Michigan Bell for 5 years and made wedding cakes on the side. Helen retired in 1987 and moved to Mt. Pleasant in 1991. She joined Sacred Heart Parish and continued volunteering by helping on funeral dinners. Some of her favorite pastimes were reading, cross-stitching, needlework, and baking. Helen is survived by two sisters, Agnes Sibal and Martha (Roy) Gunderson, both of Mt. Pleasant; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by three brothers, John, Michael and Joseph Sibal; and three sisters, Sister Vincent Joseph, Sister Marie Michael, and Sister Catherine Therese.
