Helen P. Zeien, 100, of Mt. Pleasant and formerly of Beal City passed away Thursday, November 8, 2007 at the Isabella County Medical Care Facility. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Monday, November 12, at St. Joseph The Worker Church in Beal City with Father Thomas J. McNamara presiding and Father John Ederer concelebrating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. Friends may call at Lux Funeral Home on Sunday from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. with the vigil beginning at 4:30 p.m. Visitation continues at the church on Monday from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph Church, St. Joseph School, or the Isabella County Medical Care Facility. Envelopes are available at Lux Funeral Home. Helen was born July 26, 1907, in Pewamo, the daughter of John and Veronica (Feldpausch) Hauck. She married Edward Zeien at St. Philomena Church in Beal City. She was very devoted to her faith and her family. She was raised on a farm and loved farming. She was a member of St. Joseph Parish and the Council of Catholic Women. Helen is survived by five children, William (Marilyn) Zeien of Mt. Pleasant, Fred (Mary Irene) Zeien, Stephen (Joyce) Zeien, Teresa (Ron) Lorenz, all of Beal City, and Gerald (Chris) Zeien of Mt. Pleasant; 29 grandchildren; 57 great-grandchildren; her sister-in-law, Mildred Hauck of Colorado; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward in 1976; three sons, Joseph, Herman, and Richard Zeien; a granddaughter, Jane Lorenz; two brothers, Fred and Ragolt Hauck; and two sisters, Lillian Zeien and Irene Smith.
