Honi Dee Pelcher (Ablin)

Honi Pelcher, 63, of Mt. Pleasant passed away Tuesday, November 7, 2023, at Saginaw Covenant Hospital.  Honi was born on September 25, 1960, daughter of Lila Sahguj and the late Richardo Ablin, in Pontiac, MI.  She grew up in Detroit with her six siblings.  Graduated from Ferris State University in 1983 with a major in Social Work. Honi married the love of her life, Clinton Pelcher on October 1, 2011, in Mt. Pleasant.  Together they liked to go to Car Shows, Yard Sales, and Thrifting.  She was a "superfan" of Prince and enjoyed his music. Honi worked for the Soaring Eagle Casino and Resort for almost 10 years, after she decided to leave and dedicate more time with her children. Honi was a member of the Walpole Island First Nation and has held the position of sub chief since 2006. She loved everyone whole heartedly and always put others first.  She would do anything to make you smile and loved to travel and try new things.  Always full of life and nothing could stop her.  Always a positive, happy person. She loved her family and friends dearly and will be missed.  Honi is survived by her husband, Clinton; mother, Lilia Ablin of Mt. Pleasant; children, Edgar Ablin of Big Rapids, Sarah (Grant Trepanier) Aldossary of Mt Pleasant, and Jordan Aldossary of Mt. Pleasant; granddaughter, Gianna; and siblings, Ricardo  Ablin of Mt Pleasant, John (Cheryle) Ablin of Big Rapids, Jeff Ablin of Mt. Pleasant, Lisa (Jason) Ablin of Mt. Pleasant, and Janice (Dan) Ablin of Mt. Pleasant.  She is preceded in death by her father; and sister, Jennifer.  Per Honi's wishes, cremation has taken place at Memorial Fields Crematory and there are no services scheduled at this time.
